Welcome to The Finnish Chiropterologial Society homesite.

Our purpose is to present Finnish bat fauna, studies and research done in Finland, how bats are protected in Finland and event information related to Finland and Baltic Sea Region.

One of our aims is also to contribute to the Baltic Sea Region co-operation.

In that contex our first action was to support Baltic Bat Meeting organized at Seili, Turku, Finland 24th - 25th October 2003. You can find the documents of this meeting in menu selection Events & Publications -> Baltic Bat Meeting 2003.
